WAYS TO GIVE

Ways to Give

MONEY

FEELING GENEROUS, WE’RE OPEN ARMS
When you give of your finances as an act of worship it is compared to a farmer sowing seeds, and God promises that you will reap blessings. (1 Cor 9)

TIME

GOT TIME, SPARE SOME
Volunteering your time is a way of giving to the work of the Kingdom of God. “Your people shall be volunteers in the day of your power.” Psalm 110:3

TALENT

GOT TALENT, BE OUR EXPERT
God has given each one of us unique spiritual and natural gifts and talents to be used for helping build one another up.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7 New International Version (NIV)

GIVING IS AN ACT OF WORSHIP

Ever since the creation of man true biblical worship has always involved giving sacrificially as a way of honoring God. The English word worship literally means to ascribe worth to something or someone. If we look at the overall picture painted by Scripture of true worship we can begin to see that worship is not just an event, but really it is a way of living. Rabbi Shaul (Paul) summarized this very well when he wrote these words almost 2000 years ago:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable (lit. logical) service” – New King James Version (NKJV)

There are many ways to give of ourselves as an act of worship to the Lord through our praises, our time, talent, and resources. As Yeshua said:

God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” – King James Version (KJV)

  • I give of my time as the Children's Pastor at Rosh Pinah because I love to see God working in the lives of children. When the Bible comes alive in their hearts that is the most rewarding. I teach with object lessons, creative story-telling, games, art and practical applications in a fun way. In the 35 years I have ministered to children, I have seen children growing in the Lord and become strong leaders in the community. God has made me for this.
